The erection subcontractor needs to have knowledge in various trades and education level. Basic education requires skill at basic trigonometry, plan reading, equipment operation, and the ability to weld and torch material.

The skill of metal building installation is not for the faint of heart. With sidewalls that my exceed 60’ and frame spans that may approach 200’, the employee must not be afraid of heights. In addition, the job may entail long days, often in the summer heat or the winter cold.
